BANBRIDGE BUSKFEST 2011 photocall

BuskFest is an international busking festival which takes place in Banbridge, County Down. The event comprises a daytime busking competition followed by a free outdoor evening concert. This flagship event is now entering its 7th year and attracts over 6000 people to the town centre.

30th Anniversary of the DeLorean motor car.

It's a completely unique rear engined sport car built in Belfast in 1981-2 for the american market. Made famous by the Back to the Future films, and infamous by the exploits of its creator, Just over 9000 were built, most are in North America. 23 or so right-hand drive ones exist, primarily in England, Ireland and Australia.

Long Kesh aka The Maze Prison

This place has been photographed loads since it closed in 2000, most of the shots being taken during the tours which took place up until 2006.
Since 2006 the prison has been taken apart bit by bit, roughly 85% has been demolished and only H6 and a few other buildings remain.
There has been talk about opening the prison as a museum but I doubt this will ever happen, if they ever do decide to do to it, it will cost an arm and a leg to get the facility in order, the last 11 years have not been kind to the place.
Since the demolition started there has been no-one allowed inside due to H&S concerns, the government don't like people seeing the state of the place more like...

It’s a Bit Fishy...

I'm sure this going to be just a passing craze,I spotted this today in a Leicester shopping Centre. If you haven't seen this before, as I hadn't, you place your feet in a fish tank and the fish are attracted to the dead skin on your feet and nibble at them. The fish are called Doctor Fish and only nibble dead skin cells, apparently this is common in Turkish Spa's, however this treatment is banned in the US and Canada. Was interesting seeing the reaction from those having the treatment done, let me tell you not everyone enjoyed it...

Slieve Donard

Its been a tradition for a few decades that you carry a small rock from the bottom and when you reach the top you through it on the ever increasing pile of rocks, as you can see in the picture it is quite big now...
